Susan Beth Cocuzza (Beth) is the Founder and Principal of Almavina Strategic Partners, LLC. She is an experienced leader, strategist, and advisor in the non-profit sector. Passionate about organizational culture and effectiveness, Beth is equity-minded, mission-driven, and thrives on bringing order to chaos.

Prior to founding Almavina, Beth had a successful career spanning nearly three decades in the education industry. Most recently, Beth served as Chief of Staff at Achievement First Public Charter Schools. In this role, Beth led organization-wide strategic planning, managed cross-functional collaboration and alignment at the executive level, oversaw the execution of critical strategic priorities, and acted as key advisor to the CEO and senior leaders. Prior to joining Achievement First, Beth was the Executive Vice President of Advisory Support at Student Achievement Partners, leading through multiple organization transitions over 10 years. She also has experience leading content development for The Grow Network/McGraw-Hill, has worked as an independent education consultant, and started her career as a middle school and high school mathematics teacher. In addition, Beth served three terms as an elected member of her local School Board, including 6 years as President. Beth holds a B.A. summa cum laude from Wittenberg University, an M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an Ed.M. in Education Policy and Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Beth makes her home in Mendham, New Jersey, with her husband and two teenage sons. An avid reader, in her free time Beth can often be found with a novel in her hands – preferably either wrapped in a blanket or sitting on the beach!
